New Eco classroom at Cantraybridge funded by the Gordon & Ena Baxter Foundation

Students and staff are overjoyed at Cantraybridge College, on seeing their new multipurpose outdoor classroom, funded by The George & Ena Baxter Foundation rise from the ground.  This building will enable the college’s students and members of the local community to have access to a space which can be used for education, training and small functions. The site will also boast its own pond, orchard and outdoor cooking facilities. The building designed and built by local business, Whyte’s sawmill, will have a grass roof enabling it to blend into the field in which it sits whilst expanding the colleges ever growing Eco credentials.  A sunny day saw the building grow from concrete base to classroom in under three hours.
