Engaging with employers

We hosted our recent Employers' Event, organised by Transitions Out Officer Alison Spriggs.  The event was delivered by Alison along with a team of students - Kerry, Dean, Joe, Laura, Laura, Charmaine and John.

Our student team had played a major part in developing the event content and publicising the day with our local employers.  On the day they also provided tours of our site, explaining what services our College offers, how the College and Cantray Park work together towards our common purpose and how students contribute to all levels of life and work at Cantraybridge.  In addition, our young team was on hand to prepare the day's catering needs and to explain to employers how they and their peers bring value to local employers' businesses.

We showed a fantastic film highlighting how former student Chris now works with Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC to deliver community skills training to schools and youth groups in Inverness and beyond.  Chris is an example of the success that Cantraybridge garduates can find, having been taken on in a short term role initially and now in a permanent position of employment with the club.

For more information on our transitions programme and to find out how you can work with us to enhance your business, please contact Alison Spriggs.
