Cantraybridge is the lead partner in a consortium of three organisations which make up Highland SDS Services; the others are Health & Happiness in the Highlands and People First Highland. The service is funded by the Scottish Government as part of its ten year plan for the implementation of Self Directed Support; Scotland’s mainstream approach to Social Care. The service also employs three SDS Peer Advisors. All three are former students of the college, who bring their lived experience to all the service delivers. People across Highland have access to third sector advice and training, good practice events and have opportunities to share their experiences of SDS in order to increase others knowledge and understanding.
Cantraybridge promotes the skills and talents of young people with disabilities. We champion the rights of young people by creating opportunities to learn and grow.
We support our students to develop skills equipping them for work. We empower our young people through a managed transition from college to enhance their employability.
We provide accommodation for 20 students attending College. Residents develop their independent living skills whilst they are here in preparation for living in a place of their own.
Our Cafe and Venue Hire, Market Garden and the visitor facilities at our Aviary department. We are open from Monday to Friday 10.00 pm - 3.00 pm
