Researcher – Dornoch Community Farm

Cantraybridge College and our partners at Dornoch Campus have secured funding for a feasibility study into a exciting new potential facility.

Dornoch Community Farm is a proposed new initiative which aims to provide outdoor education for Dornoch Campus pupils (3-18), including those with additional support needs. The facility may also provide services for adults with additional support needs.

We are seeking to engage an experienced Researcher on a six month contract to help us explore whether and how the Dornoch Community Farm may operate.

The feasibility study will address the wide range of issues, including financial; educational; legal; HR and practical considerations involved in setting up the Community Farm.

Location:

Mainly home-based with a base office within Dornoch Campus available on a bookable basis (Evelix Rd, Dornoch IV25 3HR). Appropriate technology will be provided.

About the College

Cantraybridge promotes the skills and talents of young people with disabilities. We champion the rights of young people by creating opportunities to learn and grow.

Skills

We support our students to develop skills equipping them for work. We empower our young people through a managed transition from college to enhance their employability.

Independent Living

We provide accommodation for 20 students attending College. Residents develop their independent living skills whilst they are here in preparation for living in a place of their own.

Cantraybridge Cafe and Venue Hire

Our Cafe and Venue Hire, Market Garden and the visitor facilities at our Aviary department. We are open from Monday to Friday 10.00 pm - 3.00 pm
