Independent Living Skills
Independent living skills is a common term used to describe the daily tasks that we all need to do in order to run our homes and our lives successfully. For residential students this outcome is really important for young people so that they can learn to do as much as they possibly can for themselves. this might include anything from keeping in touch with family and friends to preparing meals or cleaning the house. For day students, this outcome might mean trying out something new, perhaps using the produce they have helped to grow in cooking a simple meal or helping people to identify their future goals for living independently. Depending on what each young person wants to achieve, we will support them to succeed.
